Is it time for your dental check-up and cleaning?  Our licensed dental hygienist’s follow the American Dental Association’s recommendation that patients receive  a cleaning and check-up every six months. 

Be sure to let us know if you have been experiencing any oral discomfort so that during your exam, she can pay particular attention to that area.

Your hygienist may take x-rays, and will clean your teeth to remove plaque and tartar, both above and below your gum line and may apply fluoride to your teeth.  She will examine your mouth for any evidence of disease.  Often, diseases such as heart disease and diabetes have signs and symptoms that appear in the mouth first. 

It is your hygienist’s job to educate you in good oral health, so please feel free to ask any questions or ask for recommendations on oral health products that are specially formulated for your oral health needs.
